Transforming reality with numerology

If you knew that your character could be seen through numbers—your strengths, your sensitivities, your likely choices, even which numbers naturally support you—would you want to know them?

I certainly did.

When I began my Kundalini Yoga teacher training, I stumbled upon a system called Tantric Numerology. During a meal break at a yoga intensive in New Mexico, a yoga teacher in her fifties, wearing a white turban, broke down my birthdate into five positions of my numeric chart, jotting it down on a napkin while explaining their meaning. “This is Tantric Numerology—a Vedic-based map of understanding ourselves through numbers,” she said.

It caught my imagination instantly. I wanted to know more. I followed that thread, searching for books, studying with different teachers, and eventually working with a student of yogi Bhajan, Naam Hari, who gave me the foundation to explore this rich, complete numeric system—originally introduced by Yogi Bhajan and developed further by his students. Since then, I have been studying its transformative nature, discovering how numbers can illuminate the unseen patterns of life.

Over the years, I’ve come to see numbers as living vibrations—each carrying a flavor, a rhythm, an intelligence. They reveal how we move through life, how we relate to others, and what timing we are in. Every year, month, and even day has its tone, and when we understand that tone, life begins to make mystical sense.

I’ve written this book to share what I’ve practiced and refined for over two decades—for myself, for my students, and for my coaching clients. My hope is that it helps you see yourself more clearly, maybe even open a few hidden doors inside you—gates of insight that shift the way you move through the world.

Imagining our potential can create realities previously unseen. When we envision a desired outcome and attach our actions to that vision, we shape a new reality. But to do this, we need to understand our source of identity—its characteristics, patterns, and karmic influences. Yes, numerology identifies patterns and archetypes carried across many lifetimes.

Can we move beyond repeated themes, limiting beliefs, and blind spots to become greater than our current selves?

In numeric terms, each of us is given a ‘contract’—a cluster of hidden agreements, patterns, and character traits that define who we are, who we can become, and what kind of life we may thrive in. This numeric code colors our experience, perception, and sense of reality. It frames our likes and dislikes, our life choices, our challenges, and our gifts. Understanding it offers a blueprint for growth and mastery.

Each of us operates through hidden patterns or energies—our inherent unique nature. When we learn to hold these energies positively, we become more than a summation of our experiences. Recognizing our limitations allows us to grow beyond them.

Numbers act like unseen teachers, guiding us to our potential. They help us shift constraints into progress and negativity into possibility. By understanding our frequencies, we cultivate acceptance of self and others, allowing life to flow more smoothly, opportunities to appear more clearly, and choices to align with the right timing, people, and circumstances.

Healing begins with self-knowledge. Knowing yourself is the first step toward acceptance and self-love.

I was born into the rhythms of the Mediterranean Sea: steady waves, foamy tides with broken shells, salty air rusting every metal hinge, and squeaky window frames. Walking distance from the beach, tidal pools became my playground. Up to my knees in water, I followed schools of peacock fish, the occasional squid, or clusters of sea slugs, all of which inspired my ten-year-old self. Experiencing the natural rhythms of my home environment offered a mystical understanding of patterns, cycles, and timing.

I grew up navigating the intersection of urban structures and farmland, straight lines and wavy patterns blending organically. Even as children, we internalize the rhythms of our first environments, learning the subtle language of patterns.

The Eastern ‘corner’ of the Mediterranean is a crossroads of civilizations—Egyptian caravans, King Solomon’s envoys, Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, Templars—each leaving imprints of conflict, wisdom, and spiritual insight. Growing up in a Jewish tradition, in the newly formed state of Israel, I sensed there were forces guiding purpose and direction beyond nationalism or religion.

Today, we might call it genetics (evolved over many generations)—the transmission of karmic information shaping tendencies, choices, and well-being. Later, moving to New York City allowed me to observe the effects of lineage and collective memory more clearly. In Kabbalistic terms: “Know where you have come from to understand your destiny.” Understanding our past—ancestral patterns, influences, and experiences—is essential to self-acceptance, healing, and eventual self-realization.

Growing up in Israel during the sixties and seventies brought questions of identity and inherited values to the forefront. The karmic weight of lineage—Holocaust survival, historical suffering—felt burdensome. Yet, over time, I realized that overcoming these challenges could create empathy, resilience, and the capacity to transcend inherited limitations.

Moving to New York exposed me to creative and spiritual growth, opening avenues to explore self-awareness and inner patterns. Fast-paced branding work was thrilling but sometimes soulless; my numeric ‘10’ character as a hyper-achiever consumed me. Spiritual practices—shamanic work, meditation, and Kundalini Yoga—opened doors to unseen patterns, teaching me self-reflection, compassion, and intuition.

Through daily meditative and body-based practices, my Jewish mystical background and yogic exploration merged. I discovered how spiritual technology and numeric wisdom could illuminate the unseen structures shaping our lives.

Numbers are the language of that hidden reality. They define archetypes, personality, character, and rhythm. As Alan Watts said, “Every individual is a unique manifestation of the whole, as every branch is a particular outreaching of the tree.” Our experiences and inner realities connect to universal patterns and outer choices.

Our mission is greater than our challenges or limitations. Each of us is a bundle of frequencies—some supporting us, some constraining us. Tantric Numerology embraces these energies, guiding us to recognize our potential and desired destiny.

Figure/Number (Noun): Represents amount, quantity, or shape; a framework portraying performance or quantifying energy.

To Figure/Number (Verb): The act of sorting, solving, or configuring to reach a solution; shaping form, identifying how we show up in the world.

Numbers transform the formless into form, bridging the unseen with the tangible. In coaching or therapy, we might ask: “From one to ten, how do you feel about this situation, yourself, or others?”
